CAFE SOCIETY: British footwear and accessories brand L.K. Bennett has tapped the English model Sam Rollinson as the face of its spring 2014 campaign. The brunette — nominated for model of the year at last year’s British Fashion Awards — poses in a campaign that takes its cues from Britain in the Fifties and Sixties.
The images were shot at London’s Regency Café, a no-frills eatery with white tiled walls, Formica tables and checkered curtains. In one shot, Rollinson wears the brand’s orange Daytona coat and Laurie boots, posing with its clay colored Rosamund bag (part of the label's ongoing collaboration with its fall campaign face, actress Rosamund Pike). Photographer Scott Trindle shot the campaign, with the styling by Deep Kailey, the fashion director of British Tatler.
The campaign is to break in the March issues of Harper's Bazaar and InStyle in the U.S., and Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar in the U.K.. The campaign images for L.K. Bennett’s higher-end capsule collection, Black Ribbon, also star Rollinson in the same location, but those images have been shot in black and white.
A spokesman for L.K. Bennett noted that the firm continues to collaborate with Pike on her collection of Rosamund bags, which have been done in new colors for spring.
