Red-Carpet Live-Stream at the Costume Institute Gala Returns

Model Hilary Rhoda and Vogue’s William Norwich will host the coverage, which will feature interviews with cochairs and some of the arriving celebrities.

LIVE FROM THE MET: The red-carpet arrivals at the Costume Institute benefit are a lot like the Oscars, except perhaps with better fashion. Proof of that will hopefully come at the May 6 gala with the return of the live-stream from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, hosted this year by model Hilary Rhoda and Vogue’s William Norwich. Available at metmuseum.org/metgala as well as Vogue.com, Samsung.com/galaxys4/punk and Modaoperandi.com (this year’s sponsor), the coverage will feature interviews with cochairs Rooney Mara, Lauren Santo Domingo, Riccardo Tisci and Anna Wintour as well as some of the arriving celebrities, and segments on the “Punk: Chaos to Couture” exhibition. Rhoda and Norwich’s questions will include some submitted on Facebook and Twitter before via #metquestions. Vogue.com will also feature a preview of the benefit, and the night’s musical performance will be posted on the site May 10.
