LEAVING I-D: Sarah Richardson has resigned as global fashion director of i-D, and her successor will be named, along with other appointments, in the next few months, a spokeswoman for the title confirmed. Akua Enninful, director of the London- and New York-based Maxim Fashion Agents, said Richardson had always admired the magazine’s “rebellious vision” and had respected Terry Jones, who cofounded i-D with his wife Tricia Jones. “However, it became apparent to her that she would not feel fulfilled in her new role,” said Enninful. “Creatively, her vision was not aligned with the new brand mission. Sarah will now focus on her other creative ventures whilst contributing editorially to the magazines that she feels have the same direction and creativity that fit with her aesthetic as a stylist.”
Separately, i-D is building a team in New York as it seeks to expand in the US: Rory Satran has been named New York editorial director. Satran was previously content director at Opening Ceremony, editor in chief of its magazine OC Annual and of its 2012 book, “Opening Ceremony,” with Rizzoli. Diana Good will take up the title of managing director, and a statement said she would oversee the growth of i-D magazine into a global multiplatform media company. The freelance stylist Tracey Nicholson has been named New York fashion editor, while Bertie Brandes will become features editor. Brandes is a freelance writer and the cofounder of the fashion fanzine The Mushpit.
