KICK OFF: The Stuart Weitzman spring campaign features Russian model Natalia Vodianova wearing little more than her “Stuarts.” The black-and-white images were shot by Mario Testino under the creative direction of David Lipman. Vodianova was chosen as the face of the brand not only because of her sex appeal, but because of her approachable girl-next-door allure, according to the company. The campaign also introduces the new logo design “Stuart Weitzman New York.” The company will spend $3.5 million this spring, double last year’s budget, said a spokeswoman. Ads will run internationally in March in the U.S., Italy, France, Spain and Asia. In the U.S., ads will appear in Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Interview and InStyle.
