Memo Pad: Jumping Ship... Sims Card... Moving On Up...

Maybe a year ago the media world would have been surprised to see the Sunday New York Times business editor leave the paper and head to The Huffington Post.

SIMS CARD: Chloé’s creative director, Hannah MacGibbon, tapped a new photographer for the French brand’s spring campaign: David Sims. The images of models Iselin Steiro and Malgosia Bela — captured in a New York studio in MacGibbon’s sleek, clean-lined sportswear — are meant to convey grace, femininity and optimism. The campaign is slated to break in February titles — including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle — with an increased but unspecified investment on digital placements. Art direction for the campaign, mixing black-and-white and color photos, was by Petronio Associates.
