GRABEL EXITS: Kimberly Grabel, senior vice president of marketing at Saks Fifth Avenue since August 2006, left the company last week. Saks confirmed her departure but gave no details. It is believed Grabel’s departure is related to the recent reorganization of the marketing team whereby Denise Incandela was promoted to the new position of executive vice president and chief marketing officer last September, and earlier this month Michael Burgess became president of Saks Direct. Burgess reports to Incandela, and takes over online areas previously supervised by Incandela, who had been president of Saks Direct.
Grabel was involved with Saks’ full-line stores and Off 5th outlets, as well as consumer research, brand strategy, advertising, database and direct marketing, customer development, loyalty programs, public relations and special events. She joined Saks in 1995. Before Saks, Grabel was director of international trade for The Leslie Fay Cos.
