GQ’S POLITICAL GEEK: Walter Kirn is joining gq.com as a weekly political columnist. Kirn will write for GQ’s Death Race 2012 political blog, which launched on Iowa caucus day a month ago. His first column will be published today. GQ is one of several magazines that has ramped up its political coverage on the Web in recent weeks. New York Magazine launched the Early & Often political blog in December, and The New Yorker launched its own political blog, The Political Scene, in mid-January.
