Title to be published under license by 365 Media Group.

IN A COLD CLIMATE: An Icelandic edition of Glamour magazine will launch next year under license with 365 Media Group, the island’s leading print, digital and broadcast media company.

“Iceland is a dynamic market, and we believe there will be a strong demand for the brand in print and digitally,” said Jonathan Newhouse, chairman and chief executive of Condé Nast International, in a statement Tuesday.

Icelandic Glamour will be the 17th global edition of the magazine. Carol Cornuau, president of Condé Nast International, said it would also be the first international magazine franchise to debut in the Icelandic market. “We now look forward to producing editorial tailored to the local market,” she said.

Ingibjörg Stefania Pálmadóttir, chairman of 365 Media Group said Glamour, “We are incredibly proud to be a part of this. We believe Glamour has great potential as a cross-platform brand, and our team cannot wait to get started.”

Glamour’s international readership exceeds 11.7 million per month, according to Condé Nast International. A launch date for the magazine has yet to be announced.
