Glamour Promotes LaToya Valmont as Managing Editor

Valmont fills the spot left open by Nancy Gillen, who recently decamped to work for Hearst’s Marie Claire as its managing editor.

Glamour has promoted LaToya Valmont as managing editor.

Valmont fills the spot left open by Nancy Gillen, who recently decamped the Condé Nast-owned glossy to work for Hearst’s Marie Claire as its managing editor.

Valmont joined Glamour in April 2013 as production director. Prior to that, she worked at Essence for ten years, most recently as its production manager. She also worked at People and O, The Oprah Magazine.

“LaToya is an exceptionally strong leader, and we’re thrilled to promote her to managing editor,” said editor in chief Cindi Leive. “She's a great manager and a strong collaborator — both key qualities during this time of tremendous growth at Glamour.”
