INTEL INSIDE: The London-based executive search firm Lewis Alexander will Friday launch an online publication aimed at sharing its insights with members of the luxury world. Briefing will cover trends in the luxury fashion, design, interiors, retail, digital, and real estate sectors and will be sent monthly to a pool of about 5,000 subscribers. “We’re constantly out there, observing, and we are in a privileged position,” said the company’s founder and owner Lewis Alexander. “The stories in Briefing have nothing to do with our clients, and what we are trying to say is that there are a lot of inspirational individuals out there. The content is exclusive to us.” The launch issue features six 200-word stories on subjects such as Italian eyewear titans Safilo and Luxottica — and their fat margins; the return of the GIF, or animated loop of images first used in the Eighties; the fall of the Meatpacking district and the resurgence of Madison Avenue. Lewis Alexander’s clients include Saint Laurent Paris, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney.
