CLOONEY IN WASHINGTON: Time magazine has gotten a lot of mileage out of its relationship with George Clooney. First, he appeared on a mock Time cover-turned movie poster for the film “The Ides of March.” In October, the actor sat down with editor Rick Stengel at the Time-Life Building for “10 Questions,” a live takeoff of the magazine’s weekly back page feature. Clooney talked politics and repeatedly denied any involvement in bunga bunga at Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s home. “I was there to talk about Darfur,” he said, at the time. Next up, Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler are expected to sit at Time magazine’s table at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
Clooney will have plenty of Hollywood pals to hobnob with when he attends the dinner April 28. Tina Brown, Barry Diller, Jane Harman and Stephen Colvin expect Reese Witherspoon, “The Help” actress Viola Davis and “Dancing with the Stars” winner J.R. Martinez to join them at the Newsweek & The Daily Beast table, while Rashida Jones will be at Fortune magazine’s table. The Huffington Post will have Darren Criss of “Glee,” Dakota Fanning, Daniel Day-Lewis and “True Blood” couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
Glamour magazine has confirmed it won’t be hosting a table this year. A spokeswoman said Glamour’s Washington, D.C. contributor will attend the dinner with a few colleagues.
