OPEN SECRET: After months of smiling more enigmatically than the Mona Lisa, French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy officially confirmed what her baby bump has been conveying for some time — that she is pregnant. In an interview with regional newspaper Nice-Matin for the July 14 Bastille Day celebrations, Bruni-Sarkozy said the pregnancy had forced her to skip the premiere of the Woody Allen-directed “Midnight in Paris” in Cannes in May and to postpone the release of her next music album. “I have recorded an album, but it’s not completely finished, because of this unexpected and unhoped for coming happiness,” the 43-year-old was quoted as telling the paper. She also revealed that she did not know the gender of the baby. “There are some things that must be kept secret,” she said. Bruni-Sarkozy has a son, Aurélien, with philosopher Raphaël Enthoven. Sarkozy has two sons, Pierre and Jean, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, and a son, Louis, from his second marriage to Cécilia Ciganer-Albéniz.
