CALIFORNIA COOL: Rebecca Minkoff’s spring campaign, with California’s sun-drenched, mountainous scenery as its backdrop, seems perfectly in sync with the designer’s spring collection, which was inspired by late American photographer Slim Aarons. Shot by Santiago and Mauricio Sierra, the images feature Hilary Rhoda at a private residence in Palm Springs and are slated to break on Wednesday. The company also plans to upgrade its showroom digs to a new 13,000-square-foot space in Manhattan’s Chelsea district on April 1. Next up for Minkoff? A freestanding store closer to home at 96 Greene Street that opens in August.
