BRANCHING OUT: Joakim Andreasson, who served as managing director at HL-ART/Helmut Lang Studio for the past seven years, is going solo. Andreasson, who helped Lang transition from fashion to the art world, is launching cultureEDIT, a new firm based in New York and Los Angeles. Andreasson will focus on brand consulting, curatorial direction, public relations and representation of artists and designers — or, as he put it, will serve as a “strategic catalyst progressing contemporary culture.” Clients include Robert Knoke, known for his portraits of personalities including Rick Owens and Patti Smith, while upcoming projects include Fashion20(XX), a digital exhibition platform.
