EBay, following the launch this month of its new fashion destination, Fashion.eBay.com, has tapped celebrity stylist Annabel Tollman as its “brand ambassador.” Tollman will be involved in activities ranging from tweeting to curating editorial landing pages and hosting digital videos on shopping, bargain hunting, outfitting and fashion trends.
“I’m pleased to be contributing to eBay because now I can justify all the hours I spend shopping on the site,” said Tollman.
Tollman will be providing editorial merchandising along with a new roster of other stylists including Rebecca Weinberg, Kate Young, Estee Stanley and Britt Bardo. On Monday, Tollman will host a dinner at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York’s SoHo for 15 bloggers that eBay considers influential. EBay’s new clothing, shoes and accessories destination launched April 5, bearing a more stylish, visual look for the auction site, with advanced features for easier navigation. Shoppers can browse more than 19 million listings daily, on average, based on style, brand, boutique, category and trends, and can find fashion faster with a dedicated “fashion tab” on the eBay homepage. There is also a “more like this” feature for quick access to similar apparel and accessories.
