BE MY GUEST: Jean Paul Gaultier has guest-edited the March issue of Têtu (French for “stubborn”), the general-interest gay magazine. The designer appears on the cover, photographed by Stéphane Sednaoui. He also styled an 18-page fashion shoot, photographed by Ali Mahdavi, that evokes a same-sex wedding at the Folies Bergère cabaret in Paris. In this fictional scene, Gaultier plays the role of registrar while guests include Arielle Dombasle, Farida Khelfa and Blanca Li.

The 148-page issue hits newsstands Wednesday, and fashion advertisers include Dior Homme, Kenzo and Comme des Garçons. Têtu editor in chief Yannick Barbe plans to invite a different designer for each March issue, coinciding with the fall collections. The magazine’s paid circulation in France is 31,263.
