ART IMITATES LIFE: Dolce & Gabbana celebrates Italian cinema enlisting six Italian actors to appear in the men’s spring campaign.
Shot in Portofino by Mariano Vivanco, the candid, sepia tone images seem to be frames of an Italian comedy, where actors Francesco Scianna, Filippo Nigro, Primo Reggiani, Beppe Fiorello, Thomas Trabacchi and Chiara Francini re-create a number of everyday moments in a village in the south of Italy, from a baptism to an afternoon spent at the beach.
The same fragments of real Italian life also appear in the women’s spring campaign, shot by Giampaolo Sgura and starring two national beauties, actress Monica Bellucci and model Bianca Balti.
