AD GOES 3-D: AD Russia is marking its 10th anniversary with a special, limited-edition collector’s issue that has a three-dimensional holographic cover, a first both for the title and for the interiors sector.
The cover was photographed by Didier Delmas, and features the living room in Château du Crestet in Vaucluse, France, a fortress that was refurbished by the late French architect Roger Anger, and which is still lived in by his widow.
“Working for an interior design magazine and looking at all the amazing images we feature, one sometimes dreams: ‘Oh, I wish I could walk into this picture,’” said Eugenia Mikulina, AD Russia’s editor in chief. “I bet the readers also often feel that way when they leaf through the pages. So, to celebrate, we have decided to make this dream come true: To give just one image — the cover — the depth and the feeling of presence that stereo-technology can provide.”
The special issue features some of the top homes that have appeared on the pages of the magazine over the last decade, including Brad Pitt’s house and that of Russian conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov. It will remain on newsstands for the next three months.
Pitt’s and Spivakov’s homes appear in a special section devoted to homes of celebrities under the heading AD Heroes, together with AD Architecture and AD Design, which features projects by Jacques Garcia, Kelly Wearstler, Nicky Haslam, Jean Louis Deniot and Peter Marino.
