TWITTER

@marahoffman: Trying to get through airport security w out any identification or credit cards is fantastic fun!!

@NARSissist: Entrenched in Powerpoint... good times

@OscarPRGirl: just finished reading every single one of yesterday's tweets (I was out of the office) - amazing what can happen in a day.

@fiercegrandma: I think I'd like to be a stylist for high-profile court appearances -- most people get it very, very wrong

@staceybendet:

FACEBOOK

The Children’s Place launched an e-commerce component to their Facebook page Monday. The brands 519,162 “likes” now have the ability to shop the catalog in its entirety, fill up their shopping carts and even proceed to checkout and they never have to leave Facebook. However, users are transferred to thechildrensplace.com for payment to ensure a secure checkout.

Ann Taylor’s Fan Videos:
The brand introduced yet another way to connect with fans via Facebook Monday. The brand’s new video capabilities, courtesy of VideoGenie, allow “likes” to share their thoughts by recording a webcam video and answering the question, “What’s Your Favorite Ann Taylor Item?” Once Ann Taylor approves the submission, it gets posted as the #1 video on the Fan Videos tab on Facebook and the lucky user gets a notification as soon as it becomes featured on the top spot.

BLOGS AND WEB SITES

Botkier collaborated with PurseBlog (purseblog.com) to create a special edition bag that’s exclusively available at Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks.com. The social media catch: PurseBlog’s devoted readership had an active part in the designing of the bag, where they voted on everything from hardware, color and shapes. The result is the distressed grey leather Sasha bag with braided detailing and metal hardware, which retails for $635.

The Cut sorted through the minefield of fashion apps that have infiltrated the social media sphere as of late, and they rated their top ten. Among them is Diane Von Furstenberg, iShoes, Lustr Fashion Finder, ShopStyle: Mobile and Style.com.
