It's a frenetic time for Fergie  — not only is she back in the studio with her hip-hop megagroup the Black Eyed Peas, but she’s also got a solo career to take care of. Not that she should worry, considering her 2006 debut, “The Dutchess,” went platinum many times over.

The 33-year-old California native, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, has also been engaged to Josh Duhamel, of TV’s “Las Vegas,” for three years now. But don’t blame her for not planning the wedding yet. She’s barely got time, considering her commitments with MAC’s “Viva Glam” campaign, a new footwear collection for Brown Shoe and her work with Cartier as an ambassador for its LOVE Charity. (Her orange silk bracelet benefits the Peapod Foundation, which her bandmate Will.i.am founded to help at-risk children through music education programs.)

Meanwhile, she’s a front-row regular at the shows for such favored designers as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Max Azria.

And soon, Fergie will be able to add movie star to her list of trades. After staying behind the scenes recording songs for hit flicks like “Sex and the City,” she’s landed an on-screen role in the upcoming film version of the musical “Nine” alongside Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard and Daniel Day-Lewis.

“I’m singing, but I’m not singing as myself,” says Fergie. “ I’m just [very pleased] I get to play a character.”

Maybe that’s the only way she’ll ever get to relax.
