Like most evenings at Socialista, the Thursday crowd was a blend of models, celebrities, Euros and fashion types. But this week, they had gathered for an intimate dinner celebrating Rachel Zoe’s first tome, “Style A to Zoe.”

Dressed in a vintage sequined Missoni caftan, the stylist introduced her parents to friends like Margherita Missoni, Angela Lindvall, Stavros Niarchos, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Pierre Casiraghi, Liya Kebede, Brian Atwood and Demi Moore.

It had been a busy day for the former Brat-Pack actress, whose schedule was jam-packed with shows, lunches and parties. “I’m just glad there’s something for me to do,” said Moore, whose husband Ashton Kutcher is shooting a film in the city. “Though I do wish I could slip in and watch, unnoticed.”

Fat chance. Nearby, at a warehouse in Chelsea, Alexander Wang was hosting what was literally the hottest party of the week. “I need to turn the AC on before everyone leaves,” said the designer, who was running around frantically, trying to fix the situation. Among those sweating it out at the hipster-heavy shindig were Erin Wasson, Vanessa and Victoria Traina and Mischa Barton, who looked like she was dressed for a black-tie affair — which was really a little unnecessary at a party where all the guys were wearing skinny jeans and just about everyone was smoking (and not just cigarettes).

Over at Freemans, the crew at Purple Magazine threw a dinner attended by Ellen von Unwerth, Waris Ahluwalia and Chiara Clemente, Leelee Sobieski, co-host Eric Villency and a few designers taking the night off, including Cynthia Rowley, Katy Rodriguez and Ruffian’s Brian Wolk and Claude Morais. Gadfly Julia Restoin-Roitfeld was there too, but said she won’t be seen at the shows this week. “I just started my new job,” working for Baron & Baron Inc. “And I want them to think I take it seriously. Maybe in a few years I will go to the shows.”
