In Los Angeles, it was a lovefest at Elle’s Women in Hollywood tribute honoring Julie Andrews, Katie Holmes, Robin Wright Penn, Renée Zellweger and casting director Bonnie Timmermann, among others.
“I love this night because it’s so honest,” said Francisco Costa, there to see Zoe Saldana receive the Calvin Klein Collection Spotlight Award. Everyone was definitely in a sharing mood.
“It feels a bit overwhelming because I have watched these women for so long,” said award winner Emily Blunt. “You watch — and steal from them — all the time, really.”
“I’m a girl’s girl,” added fellow honoree Julianne Moore. “I should just play lesbians from now on so I get to work with more women.”
Host Alec Baldwin, meanwhile, was just happy he’s working with fewer women.
“It’s a good thing I’m not playing the love interest anymore,” he said. “Because actresses are so tiny these days I would definitely crush them.”
