Pre-Fashion Week festivities kicked off Wednesday afternoon with a lunch in honor of Pollini's new ready-to-wear designer, Jonathan Saunders.

A mix of editors, actresses and social ladies like Eva Amurri, model Elise Crombez and Zani Gugelmann gathered on La Grenouille's second floor for a meal of mushroom risotto and steamed cod.

"It's very grand, isn't it?" said the soft-spoken Saunders admiring his surroundings.

Marjorie Gubelmann and actress Monet Mazur traded Facebook tales — "It's like a full-time job," said Mazur, a recent convert to the site — while Genevieve Jones and Kiera Chaplin compared tattoo removal notes.

"Look, both Poppy's are here," exclaimed one guest of Poppy Delevingne and Poppy de Villeneuve.

"I get your invitations all the time," said de Villeneuve to her doppelganger. "But I only go to the good ones."
