With the advent of summer, Brits have been in a sporty spirit, lobbing themselves from fete to fete all across town.

On Wednesday night, Polo Ralph Lauren hosted a buzzy cocktail party at the Bond Street flagship in honor of Wimbledon. Guests included Polo's Wimbledon poster boy, Boris Becker; Nadja Swarovski; Patti and Andy Wong; Darcey Bussell; Violet Fraser; Tim Jefferies; Amber Nuttall; Ali Spencer Churchill; Jo Bamford; Evgeny Lebedev, and Piers Morgan.

"They're lethal," cried Ella Windsor, referring not to the cocktails — or her fellow guests — but to the store's Wimbledon-themed, 24-hour interactive sales windows, where shoppers can buy clothes from the sidewalk.

But the opportunity for a spending spree wasn't enough to grab the attention of Tallulah Rufus Isaacs, nor was the presence of Becker, who was there with his partner, Sharlely Kerssenberg, and their sons, Noah and Elias. Instead, her eyes were on the help. "The waiters — they're gorgeous," she said of the staff, who, per usual, were moonlighting models.

A few days earlier, De Beers' Guy Leymarie and Tara Getty hosted lunch, cricket and tea at the Getty family's Wormsley estate in Buckinghamshire, England, in aid of the Africa Foundation.

Guests included Emily Oppenheimer, Meredith Ostrum, Tamara Mellon, Kim Hersov, Matthew Freud and Elizabeth Murdoch, Sol and Heather Kerzner and Saffron Aldridge.
