Mena Suvari in Calvin Klein Collection with Francisco Costa.

NEW YORK — Fashion week, surprisingly enough, has been a foodie's paradise. If Mario Batali feeding salami to the lithe crowd at Narciso Rodriguez's dinner Tuesday night wasn't enough to satisfy, Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa proffered a veritable feast of sushi across the street at Morimoto on Thursday.

Uma Thurman, Ashley Olsen and Mena Suvari provided the star quotient, while a gaggle of models, including Jacquetta Wheeler, Mariacarla Boscono and Anouck Lepère, dropped by to trade kisses with an equally tired Costa after his show.

"I'm very relieved. I can finally sleep after four nights," sighed the designer, who spent the majority of the evening accepting accolades for his fall collection. While eager diners squeezed into the sleek booths and supped on Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's savory seafood dishes, Thurman opted to sit with Amy Sacco at the prime spot, the sushi bar.

Though the actress attended Zac Posen's show earlier in the night, Thurman skipped his dinner in favor of Costa's. But, "he's lovely and charming," she insisted of the younger designer.

While most of the evening's revelers lingered over cocktails well past the dinner hour, Olsen slipped off early to hit the opening of the new nightspot Boudoir. An expectant Natalia Vodianova, who was disappointed over not walking in a Klein show for the first time in three years, was eager to get back to work right after she gives birth in March. "That's OK. Last time I had a baby I went to a Christmas party the next night," she said.

Despite Thurman's absence uptown at Christie's at Rockefeller Center, Posen's dinner drew an enthusiastic crowd that included Hilary Duff, Nicky Hilton, LeAnn Rimes, Claire Danes, Amanda Brooks and Ann Dexter-Jones. "It was the most fabulous show of the season! Genius! Genius!" gushed Fabiola Beracasa to the young designer as the guests hopped from table to table. And Posen concurred. "I'm exhilarated," he said. "It's so amazing to show a collection that's about modernity, that brings together the past, the future and the present."
