CONGRATS: What would spring be without a stork report? Dixon Boardman and his young wife, Arriana, are expecting their first child. "Yes, it's true," said the mom-to-be. "Dixon and I are very excited. Looks like I'm due around July 1." That means there's a pretty good chance she and Dixon will be celebrating a birth and their seventh wedding anniversary in the delivery room. Boardman confirmed she'll be having a girl, making her daughter the slightly younger aunt to Dixon's daughter Samantha Rosen's two tykes. Which makes the Boardmans nothing other than a truly modern American family.

EYE OF THE TIGER: April showers generally usher in the heavyweights of the social season, like New Yorkers for Children's "A Fool's Fete" and the Metropolitan Opera's opening-night gala. This year, a new underdog contender seems to be making a bid for high-buzz status. On April 22, CeCe Cord is hosting a birthday party for her beloved canine, Tiger Cord, and the list of expected attendees already boasts names for which most charity circuits would kill — along with their own pampered pooches. Blaine and Pearl Trump; Tracie Martyn and her Chihuahua, Lucy; Nancy Corzine and Coco; Carolyne Roehm and one of her pups, and Ron and Georgia Frasch all will help the glamorous Tiger ring in a new year (or another seven, as the case may be). What does one get for the dog who has everything?
