Colette feted New York designer Alexander Wang Sunday night at hot new Paris restaurant La Fidelite, where the designer was joined by models including Natasha Poly and Lily Donaldson.
Wang will soon garner favor with the men, too. He confirmed he's planning a men's wear line for spring 2010, which will be presented in New York. "It will be about real, wearable clothes," he said.
Model James Penfold is also plotting his own line of clothes. He's opening a store in London, which would also be a springboard to a publishing house. "It's going to be about ideology and concept, but focus on high-end luxury," said Penfold, adding he would be mixing in sculptures and music with his fashions.
Meanwhile, following the closure of her Jovovich-Hawk line last year, Milla Jovovich, who's just finished shooting the thriller "A Perfect Gateway" with Steve Zahn, said she's seeking her next design project. "It has to be the right fit, I want to work with people who let me do my thing — and I really want to launch a baby line," said Jovovich, who also put her hobby, doll houses, on hold. "They're up in the loft, but they'll come down again for my daughter one day. I had a whole village of them in my bedroom and my husband would have to make his way along a little path to get to the [bathroom] at night. He's six-foot-four, so it got a bit tiresome," she said.
