A Dior-clad Demi Moore, accompanied by Ashton Kutcher and her daughter Tallulah, came to toast another daughter, Scout, who was one of the evening’s debs. “It’s so emotional,” cooed the actress, who just finished shooting her third film this year. “I am really looking forward to a vacation and sleeping during Christmas,” she added, having spent Thanksgiving in Paris. “We had Italian,” said Kutcher, as he watched Scout on the dance floor. “It’s great to watch my daughter waltz,” he added.
Scout’s other dad (the biological one), Moore’s former husband, Bruce Willis, also attended, with his girlfriend, Emma Heming. “She is very brave,” Willis said of his daughter, “but I hope [Tallulah] will not put us through this,” he teased. “Maybe next year,” responded Tallulah, grinning.
Meanwhile, Bryan Lourd joked that his Chanel-clad daughter Billie, his daughter with actress Carrie Fisher, had been kidnapped, given the intensive preparations for the big soiree. “I have barely seen her all day. It’s like they have been locked up without food or water — so I had to send for 50 baguettes,” he said.
Other guests included French actor Alain Delon, who, at 73, proved he had lost none of his Gallic charm as he glided toward his deb daughter, Anouchka, who was wearing Elie Saab, and embraced her.
But it really was the girls’ night. “It’s a really fun evening. I love Paris, it’s been great to be here,” said Scout, who had to negotiate her seat at the table without crumpling her Christian Lacroix gown. “I’m really looking forward to next year, and going to school on the East Coast — hopefully Brown to study something like archeology, although I love languages,” she said, turning to speak to her escort, Edouard de Bernis, in French.
After a sumptuous meal, the tables were cleared and the euphoric crowd danced to live music. The young debs threw off their couture gowns and changed into more casual attire befitting the after party that they were all to attend at trendy Parisian nightclub Cabaret.
