While some of the lovelies swanned around in Nina Ricci confections, including Lauren duPont, Lauren Davis, Bee Shaffer, Renée Rockefeller and Marina Rust, others turned out in fellow Puig-owned Carolina Herrera frocks — Zellweger and Mariska Hargitay among them. After all, there's more Herrera to go around. "I just arrived three hours ago on a flight from Greenville, and I knew this would fit," said Zellweger of her sculpted, strapless Herrera cocktail dress. "I am a fan of Olivier's though. I love the dresses he makes."
Theyskens, for his part, kept his celebratory ensemble rather festive with a glittering custom tuxedo jacket. "I am shiny," he whispered. "And it's not Nina Ricci by Theyskens. I had it made by a tailor."
That same night, in L.A., a much more gregarious designer was also being honored by Saks. Wearing a St. Barth's tan and a mint green sweater, Zac Posen made a splash at Chateau Marmont for a crowd of ladies that included celebs: Demi Moore, Rachel Bilson, Felicity Huffman, Anjelica Huston, Kate Walsh, Natalie Cole and Monet Mazur, as well as socials: Jamie Tisch, Colleen Bell, Crystal Lourd and Alexandra von Furstenberg.
The fete, cohosted by Amanda Ross and Jacqui Getty, included a poolside runway presentation, during which Anne Getty furiously jotted down notes. "I'm going to order some custom pieces for me, and four for her," she said, nodding toward her daughter-in-law Jacqui, seated to her left.
