In a very welcome turnaround from crowded, sweaty Fashion Week parties, Alberta Ferretti forewent the hoopla when she hosted an intimate dinner to celebrate the presentation of her spring Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti collection.

The designer took over The Little Owl in the West Village where a gaggle of young actresses, European girls and editors like Tatiana Santo Domingo, Poppy Delevigne, Barbara Bush, Eva Amurri, Monet Mazur and Caroline Seiber showed up to congratulate her.

"They are very glamorous," said Ferretti of the bevy of pretty Hollywood types who tend to don her clothes. "But I don't call them. They call me. I don't want to push anything."

Indeed, it was Zelda Williams' (dad is Robin) first foray into New York Fashion Week.

"I've never been dressed by anyone before," enthused the young actress and budding producer who had flown in from Paris.

But it wasn't just the clothes that had her attention: each table was topped with glass tumblers full of Marlboro Lights.

"Where do we put the ashes?" she mused searching for a tray.

"Ooh, we get to smoke?" queried Lauren Santo Domingo.

Yes they did.

Over a dinner of meatball sliders and halibut, most of the guests happily lit up.
