Sebago, owned by Rockford, Mich.-based Wolverine World Wide Inc., announced Tuesday that Gary Malamet joined the company as VP and GM, effective immediately.

Malamet most recently worked as president of Lacoste for USA and Canada (he resigned in July). He has also served as president of the Stacy Adams brand at Weyco Group Inc., and has held positions at Kenneth Cole footwear, Bally of Switzerland, Bonwit Teller and Lord & Taylor.

“We welcome Gary to the Sebago team and to Wolverine World Wide,” said Bill Brown, president of Wolverine's heritage brands group, which includes Sebago. “Gary brings extensive experience from both the wholesale and retail sides of the business.”
