Mulo Heads to the Riviera

The British brand is the first to partner with the legendary Le Club 55 in St. Tropez, France.

It has been synonymous with high-style since the 1950s when Brigitte Bardot filmed “And God Created Women” on its beaches, and now Le Club 55 in St. Tropez, France, is partnering with British label Mulo to create its first signature shoe.

The men’s espadrille is built like a loafer and features a charcoal waxed cotton upper.

“We wanted to develop a custom shoe that captured the spirit of the beach club and [we] approached [Club 55’s] owner, Patrice de Colmont, with the idea last July,” explained Mulo founder Tobias Cox. “He loved the shoes and the idea.”

Cox said the club provided the inspiration behind the collection’s sleek, minimalist style. “It’s simple, effortless and timeless style.”

The line starts at 130 euros, or $176 at current exchange, and will be available form June 15 exclusively at Le Club 55’s boutique in the South of France.
