She is the ultimate fashion multitasker. Since Tabitha Simmons launched her label in 2009, the designer has earned a reputation for her focused luxury footwear collection, while continuing to work as a powerhouse stylist for some of the biggest names in the business. The former model (and wife of acclaimed fashion photographer Craig McDean) has staged runway shows for the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Alexander McQueen, and is a contributor to Vogue. Simmons, whose shoe line blends British quirkiness with sleek silhouettes and retails for $630 to $1,900, is expanding the brand by offering her first resort collection for 2012. And while she's staying quiet on the details, the designer has plans to soon unveil new collaborations. Here, the New York-based mother of two talks about a few of her favorite things.

Won't board an airplane without ...
"My computer."

If I could meet anyone, dead or alive, I'd pick ...
Elizabeth Taylor. "She had incredible style and the most beautiful jewelry collection. [But] most of all, she was passionate about love and life."

Biggest guilty pleasures: Carbs and Diet Coke

Next on my reading list: Keith Richards' "Life

My spouse would describe me as ...
"Noisy and chaotic."

Funniest people I know:
My kids. "I just love the way children see the world. My son was in the back of the car and asked if he could breathe in a pie. I said, 'It depends on what kind — cherry or apple?'"

The person I'd pick to play me in a movie: Allison Mosshart of The Kills. "She is my twin."
