Soles4Souls is strengthening its executive ranks.

The footwear charity organization has named Les Ward as CFO. Ward has served as interim CFO since November 2012.
Prior to joining the nonprofit, Ward co-founded BlackBriar Advisors LLC, was a managing partner in the Dallas office of Tatum LLC and held several senior executive posts with the Young Presidents’ Organization, a not-for-profit group that strives to develop better leaders.
For his part, Soles4Souls CEO Buddy Teaster — who joined the organization last November — said in a statement that Ward’s broad skillset and expertise would be a great benefit to the organization.

“In the short time he has been here, Les already contributed enormously toward improving the effectiveness and transparency of our complex operational, supply and financial management systems,” he said.  “Les has taken a company public and been the CEO of a public company, so he understands the high standards we’re holding ourselves to when it comes to good governance, reporting and getting results. We are thrilled to add his experience and dedication to excellence to Soles4Souls’ outstanding executive leadership team.”
