Nike Inc.’s action-sports division has a new head.

The Beaverton, Ore.-based company announced on Tuesday that Roger Wyett, former president of the firm’s Affiliates division, was named VP of action sports, overseeing both the Hurley brand and Nike skateboarding and snow businesses.

Wyett, whose past roles at the company include CEO of Hurley and VP of global apparel, has been at Nike since 1994. He will report to Trevor Edwards, EVP of global brand and category management.

"Roger’s leadership over these important businesses will help continue to drive success for Nike," Mark Parker, Nike’s president and CEO, said in the statement.
