Sandi Mines has been promoted to VP and publisher of Footwear News, effective immediately.
“Sandi’s strong relationships in the footwear business will allow us to expand the reach and influence of FN,” said Will Schenck, EVP and chief revenue officer of Fairchild Fashion Media, the parent company of FN. “Her promotion puts us in an excellent position.”
Mines, who was most recently the magazine’s associate publisher, joined FN in 2003 as the New England account manager. She was promoted to national ad manager in 2006 and became associate publisher in 2008.
For her part, Mines said she is looking forward to taking the lead role.
“FN continues to be the dominant publication covering the footwear industry, and I am so excited to head our sales efforts,” said Mines. “I look forward to working with Editorial Director Michael Atmore in strengthening our brand with high-quality products that readers and advertisers expect from us.”
