Foot Locker Promotes Johnson

The executive is taking on the COO role.

Foot Locker said Wednesday it is promoting Richard Johnson to the post of EVP and COO, effective immediately.

Johnson, who had been EVP and group president of retail, will retain responsibility for all the company’s store banners worldwide.

"Dick Johnson has done a tremendous job leading our businesses to new levels of performance as we implement the many initiatives outlined in our strategic plan," said Ken Hicks, president and CEO of Foot Locker Inc. "I am very pleased to announce the board's decision today to recognize Dick's leadership with this much-deserved promotion."

Johnson has been with Foot Locker for more than 15 years.
