Ladies Who Launch
Ruthie Davis brought a few friends along when she visited Bloomingdale's in Los Angeles to launch her spring '13 women's collection last weekend. “Fashion Star” host Louise Roe and sisters Madeline Fuhrman, a musician, and Isabelle Fuhrman, an actress from “The Hunger Games,” joined the designer for the launch. Isabelle Fuhrman, who is set to star in the film “After Earth” alongside Will Smith and Jaden Smith this summer, picked a pair of spiky Jay high-tops in cherry red. "[Isabelle] really has fun with her outfits and brings a sense of freedom to her accessories," Davis said. "I love her style because she's not afraid to be playful and wear accessories that make an impression."

Lacoste teamed up with Miami artist VJ AV8, also known as Jason Boogie, to adorn the towering top with graffiti-style flowers and sunshine. While the original Polo Gigante is on display in Lacoste's New York showroom, the brand has produced another version that will travel to Coachella next month. Festival-goers will have a chance to be the artists this time around, launching paint-covered tennis balls at the polo.

"When my kids have an art project I just have to step in and help out," he said. "That's my [artistic] outlet. I have to say [to the kids], 'Step aside, I have a vision.' And I always want to know: 'Did I get an A?'"
