Scott's Secrets
Jeremy Scott is pretty good at playing things close to the vest. While at an in-store appearance at the New York Adidas Originals store during Fashion Week, the designer spilled the beans about his participation in Madonna’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, which was kept a secret until that night. “She asked me to be involved since the moment she was asked to perform,” Scott said, adding that he knew the singer’s dancers would don his Adidas product since this past November. “I was just under so many signed contracts that I couldn't speak a word until after it ran.”

Magic Carpet
Now that his fall ’12 runway show is over, Jason Wu will be getting back to the red carpet. And after dressing countless celebs and the first lady, the designer has it all figured out. “When people put on a dress, they all want to feel the same way,” Wu said, although he admitted to facing some challenges such as considering bright flashes, the color of the carpet and how the dress will be represented not only in person but in TV and print. But he never feels challenged by outside reviews. “I don’t always agree with what the fashion police say, but we don’t have to,” Wu said. “That’s the good thing about fashion, it evokes a reaction.” The designer named Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley (of best-picture nominees “The Help” and “The Descendants,” respectively) as two of his favorite newcomers this awards season, though he was mum about whether he’s prepping gowns for these starlets or any others for the upcoming Academy Awards.
