Making Waves
Could Kellan Lutz be entering the footwear business? The actor-turned-designer co-founded Abbot & Main, a casual knitwear brand, and told Spy he wants to add footwear to the label within the next 12 to 18 months. “I want to take my time and do it right,” Lutz said. “We want to stay with the Venice Beach feel [with our entire line].” Aside from working on his budding fashion line, the actor will appear with some big-name action stars in his next movie. “I’m headed to Bulgaria to do ‘Expendables 3,”’ he said of the film that also features Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson and Wesley Snipes. “It’s going to be fun to get to work with all those guys,” Lutz said. “I’ve been very blessed.”

Funny Business
Leandra Medine said she’d like for her new shoe collaboration with Superga to end up on the feet of some of her favorite funny ladies. “I want to see them on powerful women like Mindy Kaling and Lena Dunham — and that kind of woman,” the blogger told Spy when we caught up with her at the Los Angeles launch event for the collection. “I’m a fan of comedy and I like funny ladies.” Medine soon will test her own comedy material with the publication of her book, “Man Repeller: Seeking Love. Finding Overalls,” due out Sept. 10. “I hope it’s funny,” she said. “I hope [readers] have a good laugh and it instills in them a sense of confidence and self. I feel like I really put it all out there and say it’s OK to be who you are.”
