Adidas scored twice last week with its soccer business. The German giant posted its best sales in the category for the fourth quarter and also amped up its reputation with fans through its latest product launch. A day before earnings came out, the company hosted an event in Barcelona with the world’s top soccer player, Leo Messi. The star, widely regarded as the most gifted athlete to ever play the sport, was on hand to help promote Adidas’ new Adizero F50 Messi boot.
