As awards season heats up, most of the talk so far is centering on Meryl Streep and her performance in “The Iron Lady,” the Margaret Thatcher biopic that opens nationwide Jan. 13. Streep, who gives a spot-on portrayal of Britain’s tough-talking former prime minister, stepped out last week at the European premiere in London alongside co-star Richard Grant (at left). She certainly fit the part of a powerful populist in a conservative black dress, antique gold necklace and Michael Kors boots.
