Faces at FN Platform

The shoe industry's finest gathered in Sin City for serious trade show networking.

Las Vegas knows how to party like no other. The shoe industry’s finest gathered in Sin City for serious trade show networking. The first day of FN Platform saw a large crowd of top designers, executives and celebrities, including Kristin Cavallari, who hit the scene with her Chinese Laundry partners. To cap off the evening, The Commodores rocked the house with bright lights and special effects. On day two, more brands took advantage of the Vegas night scene, as Cat Footwear, Lacoste and hosted events all over town. On Wednesday, Fergie greeted fans in the Cosmo lounge, while “Mad Men” costume designer Janie Bryant joined a panel on the show floor. That evening, FN hosted a soirée with Tony Hsieh and the Zappos team at the Inspire Theater on Fremont Street. Debbie Ferrée mingled with Joe Ouaknine and Bob Campbell, while Bob Goldman chatted with Fred Mossler. Hsieh and Mossler then took the stage for a conversation with FN Editorial Director Michael Atmore about The Downtown Project. As more work in the area continues, Hsieh hinted, “A great brand is a story that never stops unfolding.”
