It wouldn’t be FFANY week without a handful of industry parties. Matt Priest and the FDRA hosted a “meet and greet” at New York’s Hilton on Monday before Joe Moore threw the official kickoff party the next night at Bryant Park Grill. Big names such as Danny Schwartz and Ron Fromm mingled with department store execs including Nordstrom’s Scott Meden and Saks’ Tracy Margolies, before Rachel Fishbein was crowned the next FN Shoe Star. Elsewhere, Jim Issler and Tom McClaskie of H.H. Brown moved to the music of the Midtown Men for their annual soirée, and Pour La Victoire invited the industry for cocktails at its showroom. It was also a big week for Two Ten. The foundation launched its New York WIFI chapter with a panel discussion featuring R.G. Barry’s Nancy Coons, Foot Locker’s Stacy Cunningham and Debby Garrow of E.A. Hughes, while its young professionals group threw a 1990s-themed party at Pop Burger. Equipped with light-up necklaces and pop rocks, guests took turns visiting a caricature artist before the night’s honoree, Sam Edelman, took the spotlight.
