Rocket Dog Names VP of Sales
Jim Kennedy has been appointed Rocket Dog’s new VP of domestic sales for JCPenney, Dillard's and Kohl’s department stores. Scheduled to officially join the brand on Jan. 7, Kennedy’s responsibilities will include overseeing forecasting, planning, design and product development for key accounts. Prior to joining Rocket Dog, Kennedy was the director of department store sales for Converse.

Nichols to Build Business at Newton
Newton Running has named former Columbia Sportswear executive Kirk Nichols to be VP of sales. In this position, Nichols will be responsible for engineering and managing sales initiatives to grow the Boulder, Colo.-based company’s North American sales, as well as implementing new strategic partnerships.

DSW Taps New Board Director
Columbus, Ohio-based DSW Inc. has appointed Joseph A. Schottenstein to its board of directors. Standing for election in June 2013, Schottenstein succeeds Roger Markfield, who resigned to concentrate on his duties as vice chairman and executive creative director of American Eagle Outfitters Inc. Schottenstein, who also is EVP of acquisitions and leasing at Schottenstein Property Group, is the son of DSW board chairman Jay Schottenstein.
