The celebrity stylist and costume designer, whose credits include such shows as "Gossip Girl" and “The Carrie Diaries,” continues to make a name for himself, this time joining Century 21 as the department store’s brand ambassador and guest stylist for the summer. The partnership, which began in May, coincided with the launch of the store’s revamped e-commerce site and the completion of major renovations at its downtown Manhattan location. Eric Daman’s duties include curating mini collections every few weeks, as well as offering fashion tips on a range of topics, such as how to wear colors and prints that women tend to avoid. “Orange is a huge color trend for the summer,” he said. “A lot of women are afraid of trying on bright colors, so I offer advice on how they can integrate them into their wardrobe.” And in the newly redone 225,000-sq.-ft. flagship, customers recently entered to win a gift certificate and hour-long shopping experience with Daman. Here, the style guru shares his most admired fashion icon, biggest indulgence of the summer and secrets for relieving stress.

Do you have any hobbies?
“I really enjoy rebuilding and remodeling things. Breaking down walls. Right now I’m in my cabin in the mountains rebuilding my attic into a loft.”

Trick to staying focused: “I like to chop wood to relieve stress.”

I happily anticipate ... “Receiving Vanity Fair in the mail each month.”

Summer Read:
“I just finished reading ‘Grace: A Memoir by Grace Coddington.’”

Most admired fashion icon: “Well, my current fashion icon obsession is Marchesa Luisa Casati.”

Must-have summer dessert: “A strawberry rhubarb custard pie with a coconut oil crust recipe I got from my mom.”
