Nina is taking a bow. Fashion house Rodarte, which designed the costumes for the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s production of “Don Giovanni,” tapped the footwear brand to provide a style for the show. Rodarte’s Kate and Laura Mulleavy paired Nina’s Freja sandal with the sparkling black gown worn by character Donna Elvira, performed by soprano Aga Mikolaj. The four-performance opera closed over the weekend, but Nina execs said the curtain certainly hasn’t gone down on the shoes. “We look forward to adding the pair to our corporate archive,” said Nina Miner, chief creative officer for the footwear label and daughter of brand co-founder Stanley Silverstein. “This historic shoe will be featured front and center.”
