Bernard Schwartz Dies at 87

The chairman and former CEO of Jack Schwartz Shoes died Monday, Dec. 2.


Bernard Schwartz, chairman and former CEO of Jack Schwartz Shoes Inc., died Monday, Dec. 2, surrounded by his family. He was 87.

Schwartz joined his father Jack and older brother Donald in their small family business in 1948. 

During Schwartz’s 65 years at the company, the family launched several popular brands, including British Knights, Lugz Footwear and Sneaux Shoes.

The executive is survived by his four children and 10 grandchildren.
