On prom night in the Buffalo suburb of Amherst, N.Y., high school seniors turned on the shine. Metallics made a strong showing in shimmery shades of silver and gold, matched to complement the popular trend of jewel-toned dresses. The night also saw plenty of pumps and peep-toes in moderate heel heights, helping girls stay light on their feet for long hours on the dance floor.
