The Ritz Serves Up New Cocktail in Louboutin Slipper

The legendary hotel has designed a drink for its summer menu that will be served in a glass high heel.

Actress Tallulah Bankhead once said, "Nobody can be exactly me. Sometimes even I have trouble doing it."

Now patrons of The Ritz London can come one step closer to the American stage and screen icon with cocktails served in Louboutins.

As part of its summer menu, the legendary Mayfair hotel has introduced a new concoction, The Tallulah, presented in a striking black shoe with a glass heel designed by Christian Louboutin.

"The Tallulah cocktail, served in the Rivoli Bar, commemorates a famous moment in Ritz history, when Tallulah Bankhead sipped champagne from her slipper during a press conference," Stephen Boxall, managing director of the Ritz, told Footwear News.

Blending Piper Heidsieck champagne with jasmine pearl tea, geranium essence, Cinzano Bianco and shochu (a distilled Japanese spirit), The Tallulah is available at The Ritz London this season for 20 pounds, or $34 at current exchange.
